OPENING CEREMONY

“The Meeting Point Leaving Its Mark on Trade”

The opening ceremony of the Istanbul Stationery Fair, held at the Istanbul Expo Center between April 15–18, 2026, marked a prestigious beginning distinguished by strong messages shaping the future of the industry and remarkable participation. Bringing together public institutions, industry professionals, and the business community, the ceremony demonstrated that the fair is not merely an event, but a strategic platform positioning the Turkish stationery industry on the international trade stage.

Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, personally attended the opening ceremony and emphasized in his speech that the relaunch of Istanbul Stationery Fair after a long hiatus with a strong organizational structure represents an important and powerful transformation for the industry. Highlighting the production capacity, export strength, and international market position of the Turkish stationery industry, Avdagiç stated that the exhibition would not only expand the sector’s existing trade volume, but would also open the doors to new markets and carry the industry onto a much broader global platform.

Mr. Taha Keresteci, Chairman of TÜKİD, stated that the strong momentum created by the exhibition has triggered a new period of growth and international expansion for the industry. Emphasizing that, with increasing international participation, expanding buyer delegations, and growing trade volume, Istanbul Stationery Fair is evolving into a trade platform that is influential not only on a regional scale but also on a global level, Keresteci also announced that the exhibition area will be further expanded in 2027, with an increase in exhibitor participation being targeted.

With its international partnership structure, multi-country organizational experience, and global exhibition network, 24Saat Fuarcılık strongly demonstrated its vision of transforming Istanbul Stationery Fair from a regional event into an international center of attraction within a short period of time. Supported by the company’s international connections and operational strength in the field, the exhibition aims to achieve a significant increase in the number of international exhibitors and visitors in the coming years, while plans for larger halls and expanded exhibition space for the next edition have already been clearly defined.
